Season 1, Episode 9: Not all Apples are Green

Season 1, Episode 9: Not all Apples are Green

Cait and Sarah talk all things tech which can be overwhelming , especially if you don’t know your carbon footprint  from your tennis elbow.

So let’s get real for a minute and focus on what we can achieve, because we want to know that the changes we are making daily are actually impacting our entire carbon footprint, not just our carbon big toe! So join us as we bare all, we’ll share our own guilt, share our own journeys and just add some levity in our attempts and fails to be more eco-friendly but in the real world.

This week’s topic is riding off the back of last week’s challenge that Cait issued, or rather inflicted on Sarah’s house – NO STREAMING FOR A WEEK! Grade A torment for all and for Sarah, a realisation that one of her five fruit and veg a day HAS to be an APPLE! .

This may have been the toughest challenge yet.

And as usual Cait jams the episode with the facts, tips and tools to help Sarah and you, our dear listeners, to green level up!

Season 1, Episode 8: Plane & Simple

Season 1, Episode 8: Plane & Simple

Today we are sharing the plane and simple Greenie’s guide to sustainable travel, see what we did there!

As a starting point, she should be very nervous going into this episode on sustainable travel. Is Cait’s research going to leave her landlocked and feeling like Sarah with the guilty, guilty, guilty greenie complex, tune into find out, you may be surprised!

And stay tuned for Cait’s challenge of the week, which in Sarah’s opinion has taken a somewhat cruel and sadistic twist. Will  Sarah successfully negotiate her way out of it before it has even started!

Season 1, Episode 3: The Naked Truth

Season 1, Episode 3: The Naked Truth

Cait and Sarah strip down….. your shower routine because you can be clean and green!

Ever feel that if you’re not living in a cave, hand spinning the wool from your hand reared – yet free ranging llamas you’re pooping all over this glorious planet. Then you’re not alone!

We want to get real for a minute and focus on what we can achieve because we have no intention of moving into a cave, we sure as hell can’t spin any wool but we probably wouldn’t say no to a few llamas.

This week we look at what goes down your shower drain and give you some easy swaps to be clean and green.

And we hear the results of Cait’s weekly challenge to Sarah not to use the dryer for a FULL WEEK! Could you do it?

Season 1, Episode 2: Let’s Talk Dirty

Cait and Sarah talk dirty this week……dirty laundry that is!

Now bare with us, laundry might not be a very sexy topic but it is often one of the first places people start on their sustainability journey.

In fact, as Cait starts to rummage through Sarah’s dirty laundry she finds some green shoots of “eco-ness” already sprouting….will they thrive or be suffocated under “Mount Washmore?”

And stay tuned for Cait’s challenge of the week, will it end in sunshine and rainbows or be a damp catastrophic wash out?

Season 1, Episode 1: Under the Influence

Join hosts Cait Bagby, seasoned sustainability writer and storyteller and Sarah Ferris true crime podcaster and a very green around the gills greenie – (read “Cait’s guinea pig!”)

We are tired of perfectionism in trying to live more sustainably. So we’re here to chat about our own guilt, share our own journeys and just add a bit of levity in our attempts and fails to be more eco friendly.

And it’s fair to say that the failures will often outweigh the successes. We are going to share our own journeys, the good, the bad, and probably the laughable as well.

If you, like Sarah, don’t know your carbon footprint from your tennis elbow but know you can do better for this gorgeous planet that we are pooping all over then you have met your tribe!

And stay tuned for Cait’s challenge of the week, will it end in sunshine and rainbows or be a damp catastrophic wash out?
