The Little White Eco Chic Dress
Not everyone followed this rule. Even some socialites continued to buck the trend, most famously Coco Chanel, who wore white year-round.
– Kathy Benjamin Why Can’t You Wear White After Labor Day
Most have us have heard the old adage don’t wear white until after Memorial Day and definitely not after Labor Day. That gives us approximately 5 months to wear as much of it as possible. However, with fashion trends showing that this rule is absolutely nonsense there has been a push over the last year to reinvent boring old white into something fresh, new, and inventive. The good news for the consumer is the more innovation the more choices you have for finding that perfect white ensemble.
For me a little white dress is a must have in the summer. It is easy to transition from day to night and perfect for just about any weekend get-together. This lace Lianne Dress from Reformation is great for its versatility and it is a wrap dress which is hands down one of the most comfortable styles. It’s the type of dress that doesn’t judge if you have gained or lost five pounds over the course of a month. What is even better is that it is super light weight and doesn’t seem to wrinkle making it a perfect travel garment.
Okay, but here is the best part about it, aside from it being super stylish, it is eco chic! Reformation is small company out of LA that designs limited edition collections and sources sustainable fabrics! Make sure to check them out for some other great finds!
